School bands and individual students perform. Hands-on experiences are provided by art and craft guilds offering opportunities for students to spin, weave, quilt, paint, write, hook rugs, try bobbin lace, and play dulcimers.

Cumberland County Blue Ribbon Memorial Ceremony will be held April 22nd at the palace Theater from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.  This ceremony will recognize all the children that were reported abused or neglected in Cumberland County in 2009.  Several community officials, choirs and community organizations along with an adult survivor of abuse will recognize the epidemic of abuse in today's hard economic times.  Please join us and personally release a balloon for an abused or neglected child in Cumberland County.  Contact the Palace for more information 484-6133.

The Cumberland County Master Gardeners will host their Spring Flower and Garden Show at the Cumberland County Community Complex. There will be free informative and entertaining clinics, as well as musical entertainment. 60 local vendors will be providing products and services for lawn and garden improvements. Admission will be $2.00. Times are: Friday, April 23 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM; Saturday, April 24 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Sunday, April 25 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
